The Charles F. Kettering Global Fellowship

The Charles F. Kettering Global Fellowship brings together a diverse cohort of five thought leaders from around the world, representing various fields including academia, civil society, civic tech, and journalism. These fellows, recognized for their significant contributions to advancing inclusive democracy, will provide expertise and thought partnership to the foundation’s Democracy around the Globe focus area.

The Kettering Foundation has a legacy of more than 30 years of work strengthening democracy through engagement with scholars and practitioners from around the world. Today, as democratic values face unprecedented global threats, this fellowship aims to recognize and elevate the impactful work of international democratic leaders and scholars, strengthen connections and mutual learning across countries and regions, and build a global network of allies committed to promoting inclusive, multiracial, multiethnic, gender-affirming, and equitable democracies.

This yearlong fellowship is designed to foster global collaboration, learning, and solidarity among international democratic thought leaders and a broader community of partners and practitioners. CFK global fellows are invited to participate based on recommendations from trusted partners in the foundation’s international network.
