Community partnerships coordinator, Omega CDC, and founder and executive director, Dayton Young Black Professionals

Daj’za Demmings, a servant leader from West Dayton, Ohio, founded Dayton Young Black Professionals (DYBP) from her personal journey, aiming to offer the support and guidance she wished for when navigating her career choices. She is also the community partnerships coordinator for Omega CDC and a 2024 Kettering Foundation Dayton Democracy Fellow. With a fervent dedication to nurturing community culture, her mission is to equip individuals for success and foster a ripple effect of positive impact in West Dayton. Demmings’ influence as a recognized leader and role model extends regionally and nationally, reflecting her commitment to empowering young professionals and creating a legacy of leadership and mentorship beyond geographic boundaries. In addition to her work with Omega CDC and DYBP, Demmings also teaches civics in the Dayton Public Schools.
