Destinye Arnold
Director of Strategic Initiatives, The Conscious Connect CDC
A Dayton native and a Kettering Foundation 2026 Dayton Democracy Fellow, Destinye Arnold is deeply committed to strengthening communities through civic engagement, wellness, and resident-centered leadership. She currently serves as director of strategic initiatives at The Conscious Connect CDC, a nonprofit rooted in the Miami Valley with active work in both Dayton and Springfield, focused on community development and neighborhood transformation. Arnold holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ohio University and a master of business administration from the University of Dayton. She began her career in youth education and advocacy at YWCA Dayton, where she developed programs supporting children and families experiencing trauma. In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Arnold is a cofounder of Triumphant Works, a consulting and training initiative centered on mental health, self-empowerment, and holistic wellness. She is also actively involved in other community initiatives, including service through her church’s EmPowerment Ministry. Across her work, Arnold emphasizes community voice, collaboration, and shared decision-making as essential practices for strengthening democracy at the neighborhood level.
