Hannah Brown

Assistant Director of Education, National Conference for Community and Justice of Greater Dayton

Hannah Brown is the assistant director of education of the National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ) of Greater Dayton and a Kettering Foundation 2025 Dayton Democracy Fellow. Since 2021, Brown has spearheaded the creation, planning, and facilitation of two impactful youth programs: Anytown Youth Leadership Institute and Retreat and SPIDEE (Students Promoting Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity through Education). Brown’s work empowers young people to develop critical leadership skills and recognize that they are not just the leaders of tomorrow but vital changemakers today. Browns commitment to building a more just, inclusive, and democratic society began in high school when she participated in NCCJs Anytown Youth Leadership Institute and SPIDEE program. Inspired by these transformative experiences, she pursued a bachelors degree in peace studies from Manchester University and later returned to NCCJ to lead the very programs that had changed her own life. Today, Brown channels her passion for democracy and social justice into creating programs that empower young people to actively engage in building equitable communities. In addition to her role at NCCJ, Brown is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist and a certified QPR suicide prevention instructor and serves as the cochair of the Montgomery County Prevention Coalition Suicide Prevention Committee, where she works collaboratively to address critical mental health needs in the community.
