Jennifer McDermott

Professor of social work and faculty associate for experiential learning, Sinclair College

Jenny McDermott serves as a professor of social work and faculty associate for experiential learning at Sinclair Community College. She is also a 2024 Kettering Foundation Dayton Democracy Fellow. McDermott has made a long-standing commitment to advocacy, civic engagement, and social change. As an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), she supports student development in these areas by providing her students with opportunities to connect with their legislators, attend NASW-sponsored Advocacy Day events at the Statehouse, and take part in community-based field experiences.
