Lake Miller

Director of Education, National Conference for Community and Justice of Greater Dayton and President, Montgomery County Prevention Coalition 

Lake Miller is a leader dedicated to building community and giving individuals the tools to have brave conversations about difficult issues in our world. A Kettering Foundation 2025 Dayton Democracy Fellow, Miller serves as the director of education at the National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ) of Greater Dayton. Through this role, Miller oversees the implementation of NCCJs youth leadership development, community advocacy and action, and workplace professional development. As an alumnus of NCCJ programming, Miller is deeply passionate about helping leaders to find their voice. These programs have left a lasting impact on the community through promoting social justice, mental wellness, and tenets of democracy and peace among participants. He is an Ohio-certified prevention consultant and a certified QPR suicide prevention instructor. Miller focuses on bringing issues of diversity and inclusion into the fields of mental health and substance use prevention. He provides coaching to prevention professionals across the state via the Ohio Coaching and Mentoring Network. He served as the previous president of the Village Impact Projects board of directors in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and was on the national leadership team for Scouts for Equality. Currently, he is the president of the Montgomery County Prevention Coalition. Miller’s passions extend outside of work. He has trained two service dogs for kids with disabilities through 4 Paws for Ability and is a foster parent.
