Larry Hayden
Board Member, the Dayton Tenant Union
Larry Hayden, a Kettering Foundation 2025 Dayton Democracy Fellow, is a native Dayton resident with a long-standing history of advocacy and community engagement in Dayton. Hayden currently serves on the board of the Dayton Tenant Union (DTU) and works tirelessly in support of its mission to educate tenants on their rights, elevate tenant voices, and empower impacted people to be participants in the processes and policies that impact their lives. Committed to advocating for everyday people, he has also focused on building and expanding DTU’s community partnerships. Hayden has a strong background in community volunteer campaigning to support system change. He is a graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, tool and die maker, and volunteer for the American Red Cross.
