Tom Roberts

Advisor, Sinclair College Ohio Fellows Program and president, Ohio State Conference, NAACP

Tom Roberts is an advisor for the Sinclair Ohio Fellows student leadership development program, serves as president of the Ohio State Conference of the NAACP and as second vice president and chair of the Political Action Committee at the Dayton Unit NAACP, and is a 2024 Kettering Foundation Dayton Democracy Fellow. He was born in Montgomery County, where he has lived all of his life. After graduating from Chaminade High School in 1970, he continued his education first at Sinclair Community College and then at the University of Dayton. A dedicated public servant, Roberts was previously a representative in the Ohio House from 1986-2000 and in the Ohio State Senate from 2001-2008.
