Samantha Kennedy

Director of grants and assessment, Community Engaged Programs, and director, Dayton Civic Scholars Program, University of Dayton Fitz Center for Leadership and Community

Samantha Kennedy is a triple alum of the University of Dayton with her BA, MA, MPA, and a certificate in nonprofit and community leadership, as well as a 2024 Kettering Foundation Dayton Democracy Fellow. She currently leads the University of Dayton’s Carnegie Community Engagement Reclassification process and runs the Dayton Civic Scholars program, preparing students to become civic professionals and citizen leaders through sustained interdisciplinary civic engagement with a focus on the City of Dayton. Kennedy is enthusiastic about the ways that students and communities can learn together in service of a democracy that is more inclusive and fair.
