Kathy Heil

Administrative Assistant

Kathy Heil is the administrative assistant for the facilities manager. Heil brings a wealth of organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to this role. She assists in the scheduling and completion of maintenance tasks, enters budget data, monitors the budget, ensures that both short- and long-term maintenance plans stay on track, and supports special facilities projects. Her ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a well-organized workflow ensures a seamless and productive work environment for the foundation.

With over two decades at the Kettering Foundation, Heil has played several roles. She worked closely with the former foundation president, preparing the manuscripts of his books, articles, and speeches, and collaborating with editors as writing moved to publication. She was also assistant to the chair of the National Issues Forums Institute and assistant to the chair of the Center for Citizenship, Community and Democracy.

Prior to coming to the foundation, she worked as a secretary at the Wright State University School of Medicine and at Parker Advertising, and as a production coordinator at Club Publishing.

Heil and her late husband, Stephen, have been lifelong residents of Beavercreek, OH, where they raised their three children. She enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
